CPFC tie-up with Oasis Academy

21st October, 2011

The Trust was pleased to see CPFC’s statement issued today regarding EPPP. As club chairman Steve Parish pointed out (http://www.cpfc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10323~2488972,00.html), the Oasis Academy is critical to the future of the development of future talent at CPFC as it will dramatically increase the contact time Academy staff have with the future stars at Palace for both academic studies and football training. While compensation will be dramatically reduced, such a tie up should strengthen and protect the Academy offering and help to make sure it remains one of the best in the country; an Acadmy that young players will want to join and stay.

Integral to this is the development of a a new training ground facility and The Trust will continue to look into Ashburton as the site for the training ground for the first team and Academy, given its ideal location next door to the Oasis Academy, as well as considering many other sites that Palace fans have contacted us about in recent days.
