Fergus McGovern

29th February, 2016

The Trust is shocked and saddened by the news that Fergus McGovern passed away on Saturday.
Fergus, a lifelong Palace fan, had been an Associate Director at CPFC for many years. He was also Vice-Chair of the CPFC Foundation and, together with his close friend David Groves, was instrumental in making the Foundation such a force for good and a highly respected organisation.
CPST Chairman, Alan Palmer, added: ‘I met Fergus on a number of occasions and his love of all things Palace was always apparent.  He was a good friend of the late Gerry Ryan, who we lost last year. I can visualise them now sitting in a bar some place sharing Palace anecdotes over a few pints of Guinness. This has come as a huge shock to everyone and our thoughts are with Fergus’s family and friends at this dreadfully sad time.’
