The Trust Board

Alan Palmer (Chairman) – Alan is the Payroll and Pensions Co-ordinator for a major London FE College. A life-long Palace fan, Alan has been involved with the Trust from the beginning, and has been on the Board for 9 years. With previous experience of chairing membership organisations, Alan is also Chairman of the Crystal Palace FC Youth Trust, a registered charity with the aim of encouraging sporting activity for young people in the local community.
Lesley Palmer (Secretary) – Lesley is a solicitor and partner in QualitySolicitors Palmers. She has been a Board member since 2006, and is responsible for a range of activities, including ensuring that the Trust fulfils all of its legal obligations and legal issues associated wit hthe Training Ground project. Lesley has supported Palace since the 1970s.
John Finn – John is a Founder Member of the Trust, and was it’s treasurer until July 2011. A Corporate Banker by profession, with a degree in financial economics and an MBA, his strengths lie in people management, corporate finance and business turnaround / loan restructuring. John was instrumental in bringing together the key players who set up the Trust in 2000, and set up the financial mechanics of the loan note scheme. He has been a Palace fan all his life.
Chris Waters – (Press Officer) – Chris is European Financial Controller for Omnicom Media Group (Europe). He has been a Board Member since 2009, and leads on relations with the press, administers the wesbite and acts as Member Secretary. A season-ticket holder since 1998 in Block B of the Holmesdale Lower, Chris is a regular contributor to the Palace programme.
   Liz Wells – Liz Wells is a freelance business journalist and has worked for some of the UK’s largest publishing houses in the past 10 years. She will be contributing to the Trust’s Facebook, Twitter and other social networking activities, as well as working on the training ground project. Liz has supported Palace since the 1980s and is currently a season ticket holder in Block C of the Lower Holmesdale.
Alan Lewis – Alan is a chartered accountant, specialising in turnaround & workout. He is a former insolvency practitioner). Alan has been on the Board for 5 years, but has been involved with the Trust since 2000, and brings a unique insight into football, having been AFC Bournemouth’s administrator in the 1990s. Alan was part of the team that prepared the original loan-note scheme which raised over £1 million. Originally from Birmingham, Alan has been a Palace fan for the past 16 years.
Ray Wright – Ray is an independent planning consultant, who has 30 years experience of working for local authorities, including being Head of Development at Horsham District Council. Ray has supported Palace since the 1960’s. Having joined the Board in July 2011, he is currently advising the Trust on planning matters, in particular the Training Ground project.
Keith Powell – Keith is currently chairman of the Palace Independent Supporters’ Association (PISA). Keith is a gardener. He has been a member of the Trust since the beginning, and a Board member for the past 3 years. Keith has supported Palace since the 1960s and is a long-term season-ticket holder.
Richard Wilsher – One of the newest recruits to the Board, Richard leads on relations with other fans organisations, such as the Holmesdale Fanatics. Richard has just completed his postgraduate studies and is a corporate credit manager at Barclays. As well as bringing financial expertise to the Board, Richard brings youth and enthusiasm. He managed to galvanise 100s of fans (mainly younger ones) to picket outside the HQ of the Lloyds Banking Group when the Club was on the verge of liquidation. A Palace fan since 1990, Richard can on occasion be spotted donning a giant eagle costume.
Furhad Zaidi (Treasurer) – Furhad is an accountant at a City firm, and joined the Board in 2009. As well as being part of the finance team on the Board, he has led on fund-raising, and in particular building relations with celebrity Palace fans. Furhad became Treasurer of the Trust in July 2011. He has supported Palace for over 16 years.
Paul Mee – is a retired civil servant, who has been supporting Palace since the late 50s. He served on Croydon Council from 1986 to 2002; chaired the Leisure Services Committee and moved the 1999 motion of support for the new Trust. A member of both the Palace Independent Supporters’ Association and the Trust since their formation, he was a PISA committee member from 2002 to 2014 before co-option to the Trust.
