  French football   authorities urged to support community ownership by cross-party   representatives      

In   an open letter, elected representatives from the European Parliament, French   Sénat, and Assemblée Nationale have called upon French football’s governing   bodies to support community ownership.

Last week Friends of   the Rebel Army Society (FORAS), Irish partners in the recently-concluded   ‘Improving Football Governance through Supporter Involvement and Community   Ownership’ project, financed by the EC, coordinated by Supporters Direct   Europe and involving nine partners from eight different countries; visited   Irish President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin.
